Visit from Nankai University to NTNU Trondheim (Aug 11-15, 2025)

The visit from Nankai University to NTNU Trondheim will feature a series of engaging activities aimed at fostering academic exchange and cultural understanding between the institutions. Kicking off on Monday, August 11, participants will enjoy a guided tour of Trondheim, including visits to the Nidaros Cathedral and the Kristiansten Fort, before exploring the city's vibrant student life. Tuesday, August 12, will focus on an introduction to NTNU's Biomedical Laboratory Science department, followed by a tour of their facilities. On Wednesday, August 13, Nankai University professors and NTNU researchers will present their latest research in a seminar. Later in the week, the group will delve into Norway’s healthcare system and medical studies at NTNU, including a hiking trip to Elgsethytta on Thursday. The week will culminate in discussions on modern biotechnology and ethics, along with a BBQ on Friday, August 15. The program offers opportunities for academic growth, networking, and experiencing Norwegian culture.

Visit Schedule for NTNU

This visit will take place in Tianjin, China, and involves multiple academic and cultural activities. It begins with a warm welcome reception on March 26, 2024, where the Nankai University leaders will meet the visitors. The first full day includes lectures on intangible cultural heritage and cross-cultural perspectives on family roles. Students will also participate in sports and cultural events. The following days are filled with educational lectures on medical genetics, immunology, and cell biology, followed by practical experiments in medical molecular genetics. There will be campus visits and opportunities to engage in student activities, culminating in a tour of Beijing. The schedule blends rigorous academic content with cultural exploration.

Tentative Program in Ålesund (August 18-22, 2024)

This program in Ålesund is designed to introduce Nankai University students to NTNU's academic environment and the Norwegian healthcare system. It begins with a tour of the Ålesund campus, where participants will explore various departments and laboratory facilities. The program includes practical training days in laboratories, focusing on phlebotomy, hemostasis, and laboratory theory, combined with digital lab training. Students will also have opportunities to engage in seminars and student activities, where they will share insights from their lab work. Cultural experiences, such as a visit to the Sunnmøre Museum and a city walk, will enhance the program, offering a well-rounded experience of Norwegian education and culture.
